Dr. Michael Cassidy is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his BS in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and his MS and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on traffic and transportation operations, traffic control, and public transit. In 24 years of academic activity at Purdue University and the University of California, Berkeley Dr. Cassidy has published roughly 70 papers in refereed journals and has supervised more than 20 PhD dissertations.
