UC Berkeley’s Fung Fellowship connects an interdisciplinary cohort of undergraduates with community and industry partners to develop viable solutions to real-world health and environmental challenges facing our most vulnerable populations.
The fellowship serves a new generation of leaders through a collaborative, project-based learning experience that inspires students from any major to be innovators for social good.
Did you know our fellows represent over 36 unique majors? 28% are transfer students, 39% are students of color, and 26% are first-generation college students. Through the Fung Fellowship program, our fellows:
- Grow as leaders through working directly with organizations, community members, and stakeholders from different disciplines and life experiences
- Gain a foundation in design fluency and iteration, and an understanding of the innovation landscape
- Learn to speak a common problem-solving language and to ethically implement solutions within a community through an inclusive approach
- Build growth mindsets, empath
