Hi there! I’m John, an incoming master’s of translational medicine student. I just graduated from UC San Diego this past June with a BS in Bioengineering: Biotechnology, and I have a plethora of experience in the biotechnology industry and academia (e.g. nanoengineering, immunoengineering, kinetic modeling). Ever since the first apple watch came out, I’ve been obsessed with the development of wearables and biometric sensors and their applications towards monitoring people’s health longitudinally. I believe that making digital health technologies more affordable and accessible will empower our disadvantaged communities to make better decisions about their health and get them the care they need. In my free time, I enjoy working out, getting outside, building PCs, taking pictures, and watching the latest Kdramas on Netflix. I’m looking forward to meeting other people interested in digital health and hosting events to connect our diverse community of engineers!
