Walter Campbell (he/him/his) joined the Fung Institute team in June 2019. He has over 10 years of administrative and managerial experience leading cohesive teams, prioritizing opportunities for success and emphasizing both collaboration and solution-oriented objectives.
Walter is responsible for supporting the Fung Institute with operations including administration, finance/purchasing, hiring, and remote pedagogy, including videoconferencing and experiential learning platforms. He currently serves as co-chair of the institute’s Remote Pedagogies & Technologies (RP&T) leadership team.
Prior to joining UC Berkeley, Walter was Program Coordinator for the Shanti Project, a non-profit organization he continues to volunteer for every week. Walter holds a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an MA in Sexuality Studies from San Francisco State University. He is a Bay Area native and loves creating music, taking long walks, and his cats.
