Hello there! I’m Thomas, and am currently pursuing an MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Product Design at UC Berkeley.

I spent most of my life in Vancouver, Canada, and attended the University of British Columbia for my undergraduate degree. I spent most of my time developing products and building things ranging from consumer electronics all the way to novel devices to help bees survive. So long as I can build to solve problems with great social impact, I’m happy. Naturally, my passions for building pushed me to pursue product design at Berkeley, as it gave me an opportunity to not only refine my existing skills, but also build new ones to make me a better engineer.

Beyond academics, I formerly competed in acappella at UBC, and have continued to pursue music as a Baritone for The Intermission Orchestra. I also enjoy winter sports, cooking, and spending an unhealthy amount of time competing in esports titles. Feel free to reach out at t.s.guan@berkeley.edu!
