Smrithi Surender is an MEng Bioengineering student with a concentration in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. She earned her B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) in 2024. At UCR, she conducted research at the Pediatric Rehabilitation Technology Lab, focusing on data analysis, signal processing, and wearable design. She also interned at a Bay Area biotech company, where she organized hybridoma cell lines, conducted assays, and led a team of interns. Along with being Student Ambassador, she is also part of the SkyDeck Internship Program, working on projects to enhance athletic performance. Smrithi is hoping to deepen her knowledge in Biotechnology while growing her leadership skills as part of the MEng program. In her free time, she enjoys connecting with friends, hiking, and trying out new recipes.
