Introduced to data science through my undergraduate coursework in IEOR at UC Berkeley, I’m inspired by how data can drive meaningful change in the world around us.
I realized the true interdisciplinary nature of data when I co-founded a home-kitchen food delivery enterprise that served nearly eighty customers during my undergraduate years. I observed how data could drive better decision-making, helping us allocate delivery drivers to specific locations and using customer data to enhance product offerings.
My passion was further fueled by self-motivated projects and industry experiences, many of which stemmed from IEOR-related courses like Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Inside and outside these courses, I’ve worked with data on projects related to healthcare, portfolio management, and sports analysis. This summer, I developed a product providing an LLM-based solution for community college students seeking to transfer to four-year institutions, supporting them with personalized transfer pathways.
I’ve been an avid Vipassana meditator for the previous three years, practicing in the tradition of Mr. Sayagyi U Ba Khin, which has helped me maintain focus and clarity in my life, and the practice has been my life’s greatest discovery. In my free time, I also enjoy hiking, traveling, and pondering the mysteries of the universe.
