Hi, I’m Mason, an MEng student in mechanical engineering. I’m originally from the Chicago suburbs and graduated from UChicago with a degree in Molecular Engineering in 2022. While at UC, I was fascinated with the idea of creating technology that is congruent with nature. This led me to work at a “circular economy” startup as well as a lab focused on creating bio-based electronics derived from plant materials. I later became interested in nuclear energy and decided to start a company in December 2021 focused on spent nuclear fuel recycling, which I helped run until May 2023 before coming to Berkeley. Outside of school you can find me learning foreign languages, basketball or yoga-ing, or reading sci-fi and philosophy.
