Hello, I’m Lauren, a MEng student in the Bioengineering department. I grew up in Seattle and moved to Los Angeles to study at UCLA, from where I recently graduated with a BS in Bioengineering and a minor in Chinese language and culture. Through my experience working in a microfluidics laboratory and conducting a project developing a diagnostic microscopy platform, I have gained an appreciation for the breadth and complexity of the medical device field and the prospect of utilizing biotech to solve real clinical problems and improve lives. I have many hobbies in my free time including rock climbing, dance, hiking, and crochet.
