Department: Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences
Concentration: Visual Computing and Computer Graphics (VCCG)
Hi, I’m Kathy Zhuang, an MEng student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Department. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in Engineering Science, majoring in Machine Intelligence and minoring in Robotics. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for machine learning and its applications in computer vision. I took part in research labs and worked on projects centered around human-computer interaction, generative AI, and robotics perception. I also had the opportunity to dive into the industry, working at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer Intern. There, I improved my software engineering skills by making user experiences better and optimizing resource structures for payment platforms. This contributed to smoother operations for clients. When I’m not busy with school or work, I always immerse myself in the realms of painting, watercoloring, and graphic design. I’ve also recently taken up rock climbing and hiking.
Feel free to reach out to me at kathy_zhuang@berkeley.edu if you’d like to have a chat.
