Hi! My name is Elyse, and I’m pursuing an MEng degree in mechanical engineering with interests in product design and biotechnology.

As a recent Biomedical Engineering graduate from Cal Poly SLO, I developed a keen understanding of the need for innovative healthcare solutions. I’m passionate about how we as mechanical engineers can problem solve in the context of making medical devices and assistive technology more advanced and accessible. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Abbott and Cepheid’s new product development teams, which helped me gain an understanding of both design and manufacturing operations that are necessary to deliver a successful product.

I’m thrilled to be here at UC Berkeley where I can challenge myself daily, both technically and professionally. Growing my communication and leadership skills has been incredibly rewarding and motivates me to seek out opportunities for collaboration and personal growth.
