Alicia Mandac (she/her/hers) brings 15+ years of experience in higher education to the Fung Institute. Prior to joining the team in October 2021, she led undergraduate student services in the Department of Economics and worked as a college advisor in the College of Letters and Science Undergraduate Advising Office at UC Berkeley. Her passion for supporting students’ personal and professional growth stems from her first campus job as an academic peer advisor at UC Santa Barbara, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She holds a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and a coaching certificate from Georgetown University. Her goal is to provide transformative coaching and career services that will help FI students thrive for many years to come!
On campus, she is involved in the Cal Coaching Network and has served as a mentor for the Berkeley Staff Assembly Mentorship Program. Outside of work, you can find her teaching yoga, exploring the East Bay food scene, and enjoying time with family and friends.
