Aalaya is a recent graduate from the University of California Berkeley where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering. There, she pursued medical device design with a multi-disciplinary focus in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering studies. At Berkeley, she has been actively involved in research aimed at designing novel wearable biosensors.

She has also gained valuable industry experience through internships at Roche as a Hardware Engineer and at iRhythm Technologies as a Mechanical Design Co-op Engineer. Aalaya is passionate about combining her love of engineering and design to help shape the future of healthcare with innovative medical devices and health-monitoring technologies.

Outside of work and school, Aalaya loves basketball (Go Dubs!), art, hiking, matcha, coffee, and trying new restaurants or cafes!
