UC Berkeley’s Fung Institute partnered with Nesta, the UK’s leading institute studying innovation, and the University of Cambridge to produce the first empirical country level study of crowdfunding and other forms of social finance. The full report was released on December 13, 2013 and shows that equity crowdfunding grew over 600% in the UK and predicts the UK crowdfunding and alternative finance market to grow to over £1B per year in 2014. This report is the first of a series of research reports being produced by the Fung Institute in cooperation with other research partners.
