Shilpi Mathrani (MEng ’15) wanted a career in the biomedical field. To a student, though, the industry can seem like an exclusive club.
So she sought out the Bio-Manufacturing to Market program, which offers students an opportunity to learn about biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and medical equipment, all aspects of the biomedical industry. The pilot program is currently in its fourth year, and provides a great platform for undergrads in science and engineering to connect with biomedical and biotech start-ups in the East Bay.
