Hey there!

I’m Vishal Kumar, an MEng student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, focusing on Data Science and Systems. Before coming to Berkeley, I worked as an AI and ML engineer and lead developer at State Street Corporation. I got my undergrad degree from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, India, where I majored in Computer Science with a specialization in AI and ML. During my undergrad, I led the Embedding team of the Recon Subsea club as the Embedded Systems Head, which really fueled my passion for Robotics.

I have one main goal: to combine Robotics and AI to create an amazing world. Imagine drones flying around, autonomous self-learning robots doing all sorts of tasks, self-driving cars, and so much more cool tech. That’s the future I’m excited to build!
