Hello! I’m Valli Nachiappan, an MEng student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Department with a concentration in Visual Computing & Computer Graphics. I completed my undergrad degree in Computer Engineering at UC San Diego. At UCSD I served as the technical development chair for a club called Women in Computing (WIC). That is where my interest in developing community surrounding current topics such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence started. I also interned as a software engineer at an audio company called QSC in Southern California, where I got to apply some of these AI/ML skills for embedded systems. I am hoping to further my skills in computer vision, generative AI, and LLMs in interdisciplinary fields by combining programming and design! In my free time I love to paint and graphic design!
