Hey! I’m Sydney (Xicheng) Zhu, an MEng student in the EECS PEIC track and a 2026 WashU graduate with a degree in physics. My experience includes internships in optical transceiver and fiber-laser manufacturing, as well as a research project involving synaptic devices and perovskite materials. Outside of school, I enjoy playing soccer and going on road-trip adventures.
Life is a journey, and mine has led me to the semiconductor industry. I’m passionate about the field, from foundries and fabrication to fabless companies. I’m always eager to learn more about how the industry works, and I aspire to become a next-generation innovator in the field.
