Affinity Group Leader - Artificial Intelligence
Hi everyone! My name is Stephen Tao. I’m originally from China but grew up in Rome, Italy. A fun fact about me is that I speak both Mandarin and Italian, as well as English! I’m currently pursuing my MEng degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) with a concentration in Data Science.
I recently graduated from Minot State University, where I double-majored in Data Science and Finance. During my time there, I developed FinanceFriendGPT, a customized GPT model designed to simplify complex financial concepts for people without a finance background. This experience inspired my strong interest for Artificial Intelligence. For my capstone project, I used machine learning techniques to detect early-stage lung cancer. I strongly believe AI will significantly transform every aspect of our lives, and I’m dedicated to developing impactful, ethical AI solutions that address critical societal challenges.
In my free time, I enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds who share similar interests. I also love hitting the gym, bodybuilding, playing basketball, and exploring various sports.
