Affinity Group Leader – Product Management
Hi! I’m Sophia, and I’m pursuing my MEng in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (IEOR), concentrating in Management Science & Engineering, as a Dean’s Full Scholarship recipient. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in Data Science, Legal Studies, and Public Policy, during which I worked on several sustainability-driven startups in roles spanning product management, data science, and business development.
My interest in product management stems from believing that thoughtful product strategy is important in allowing technological and business innovation to become socially meaningful, accessible, and impactful. I’m beyond excited to be one of the leaders of this particular Affinity Group and to learn about everyone’s unique motivations and experiences.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and cello, doing pilates, reading, eating good food, rooting for the Niners, crocheting, and exploring new caffeinated beverage options. Having spent a good chunk of time here already, please don’t hesitate to reach out for advice, food/drink recommendations, or just to chat!
