Shannon Emerzian is a PhD candidate in the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research is focused on how clinical radiation therapy affects bone mechanics through a combination of computational and experimental analyses. Prior to coming to Berkeley, Shannon worked for Medtronic, a global leader in medical technology, where she supported the design, manufacture, and development of the manometry and PillCam product lines. She earned a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2017 and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in 2013.
