Hi everyone! My name is Moussa Nasroune. I was born in France where I graduated with a Mechanical & Industrial Masters and a Neuroscience Masters. I am currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in IEOR (Industrial Engineering & Operations Research) at UC Berkeley. After my Neuroscience degree, I worked for 5 months as a Data Analyst at Thales, analyzing helicopter pilots’ behavior in stressful situations. This year, I have the pleasure to co-lead the Data Science and Analytics affinity group! My interest in Data Science led me to run a couple of projects and competitions that I will gladly share with the group.
I am passionate about problem-solving and building cutting-edge products and services that help to improve the quality of life. I had the chance to visit a lot of different countries across all of the continents! This gave me the opportunity to open my mind, which helps me to connect with students from all around the world. I love soccer, tennis, and the gym. Hiking is a bit new to me but I really appreciate it! Also, I would love to learn to surf in the bay. I am also a music enthusiast. I had the opportunity to learn several musical instruments in my life such as piano, guitar, violin, and bassoon.
I look forward to interacting with like-minded people and sharing academic and career interests! Go Bears!
