Hi! My name is Lauren and I am pursuing my master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Advanced Energy Technology. A native Texan, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin with a minor in French. I am passionate about renewable energy and interested in intellectual property studies, as well as entrepreneurship.

During my time at UT Austin, I worked as an ambassador for the School of Undergraduate Studies. I was also involved in a non-profit organization, Texas 4000 for Cancer. In fact, I was on the Sierra route for the 2021 team, and biked 4000 miles across the country in the fight against cancer! At UC Berkeley, I am a member of the Cal Triathlon team.

During my free time, I also enjoy wandering around book shops, exploring the Bay Area, and hiking. I hope to bring my enthusiasm, communication skills, and leadership experience to my role as a Capstone Student Ambassador and look forward to working with everyone in the program.
