Department: Civil and Environmental Engineering
Concentration: Transportation
Juliette Prefol is a French-American student currently pursuing a master’s of engineering (MEng) at UC Berkeley. After completing her undergrad in France, she came back to her birth country to pursue a graduate degree specializing in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation. What interests her the most about this field is being on construction sites, where she can witness the tangible progress of projects and interact directly with site workers—rather than spending all day in an office. As someone who spent 10 years as a scout and loves the outdoors, this hands-on work suits Juliette perfectly. She is curious, energetic, and outgoing. She is always eager to learn and gain new experiences, both in life and in my career.
Having lived in five different countries and with a passion for travel and exploring diverse cultures, she would love to work abroad. However, since arriving in the United States, she’s been surprised by the lack of public transportation, and hopes to contribute to its development in the near future.
In her free time, she loves watching musicals and going hiking.
