Department: Mechanical Engineering
Concentration: Control of Robotic and Autonomous Systems
Hi, I’m Jannik!
I completed my Bachelor of Engineering at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences this year, specializing in mechatronics. At university, I was actively involved in the robotics lab where I enabled a KUKA robot to play billiards and implemented a collaborative demo assembly/disassembly program between a UR5e and a Mitsubishi robot. Besides university, I also gained professional experience with robotics and AI at Bosch Rexroth, especially in the field of mobile hydraulics. In the software and systems engineering department, I worked on several AI projects, including virtual sensing, advanced control systems and improved sensor fusion algorithms, as well as the creation of a simulation model for an excavator arm. I have developed a deep passion for reinforcement learning, starting with my bachelor thesis until recently. In general, I am passionate about almost every area of technology and I am always open to learning new things. In my spare time, I was a competitive athlete until recently, playing floorball in the highest German league. With my move to the US, I am now looking for new hobbies, and sports will definitely play a key role. I also enjoy connecting with new people, especially learning about new cultures and discussing issues that affect us all and coming up with solutions.
Feel free to contact me on LinkedIn or any other communication platform or channels. I look forward to getting in touch with you!
