Hi everyone, my name is Ethan and I am one of the communications mentors here at the Fung Institute and a current Bioengineering MEng student focusing on biomedical engineering design! I am also a returning Golden Bear having recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Bioengineering and a minor in Mechanical Engineering.
I am also incredibly passionate about improving the quality of life for others using engineering design and have spent the past four years pursuing this goal. First as an undergraduate researcher with UC Berkeley’s Embodied Dexterity Group studying hand prosthetic design and later as a process engineer designing manufacturing facilities in the alternative foods, pharmaceutical, and oncology spaces. And now as part of my MEng capstone project, I am currently collaborating with a team of talented engineers in creating an omni-directional treadmill with the hopes of innovating physical therapy and making the healing process more engaging with the help of virtual reality.
If I am not in the lab or studying, you can find me dancing or choreographing on campus, at a nearby rave, or live streaming video games on Twitch. Please feel free to reach out and/or schedule meetings with me through my LinkedIn!
