I am a MEng student in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, focusing on FinTech. Prior to this, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering from the Central University of Finance and Economics in China.
I have a strong interest in machine learning and data analytics, especially in applying them to real-world problems. During my undergraduate years, I actively pursued this interest through several related internships in the financial sector and by participating in data science and quantitative competitions. These experiences helped me improve my coding skills, better understand various machine learning algorithms, and become more confident in making data-driven decisions.
I think data science is a great way to let data “speak”—it helps to uncover patterns and insights that we might otherwise miss. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, traveling, and working out.
