Over the weekend two MEng alums, Oscar Segovia and Yakshu Madaan, participated in the Tikkum Olam Makers Bay Area Makeathon. In just 72 hours their team, “Team Smart Ass,” created a Smart Seat to help alleviate the development of pressure sores, a problem that patients confined to a wheelchair are often faced with. Huge congratulations to our alumni and their entire team for receiving both the Google.org Award for Innovation and the TechShop Award for Self Manufacturing!
