Sonal Kapoor, is spending her summer as a Kleiner Perkins (KP) Design Fellow, where she is interning at Nuna. Nuna is a healthcare tech company that creates software tools to support low-cost and high-quality healthcare to people across the country. Sonal’s work consisted of researching, designing, and testing a dashboard to help track the return on investment (ROI) of a Nuna tool. Most of Sonal’s academic work relates to her major, Economics, so she attributes the Fung Fellowship for introducing her to human-centered design in the public health/healthcare space. She says the program has helped build her confidence as a designer, especially in the area of public health and healthcare, making for a seamless transition to her work at Nuna.
