Hands-on experience and connection with nature is always integral in the promotion of biodiversity; to quote the Fung Fellowship’s Conservation + Innovation track, “significant emphasis is placed on finding solutions for living more harmoniously in nature,” which was exactly the goal for the Conservation track’s Field Trip to the Wild in Tilden Park on September 27th! Fung Fellows were first assigned a “Tech Challenge” as a preparation lab for the subsequent field trip during which they split up into teams and set up trail cameras, cleverly designed with camouflage and able to take multiple pictures with customizable speeds/intervals, capture modes, and image/video resolutions to capture any number of wildlife species in the area.
