The Fellowship, lead by Director Jennifer Mangold with assistance from 3 Fellows, hosts the first Public Interest Technology Summit on UC Berkeley’s campus. It was here that university program and division directors, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, along with local community and government organizations met with the shared purpose of collaborating on public interest technology (PIT) programming at UC Berkeley, outlining the campus’ landscape, and identifying areas of opportunity for curriculum development and cross-campus collaboration. Due to the COVID-19 crisis the team quickly pivoted to provide an in-person and remote experience.
